Need Help with Clothing for Fall

Looking for help from Alaskan residents to give me the best advice. Traveling to your beautiful state Sept. 17-22, to Anchorage, Fairbanks, Chena Springs. We will have a car once we get there so we might venture to places beyond those three, but not terribly far. I need help specifically for what types of pants to wear. I was told jeans are not the best choice. We plan to do some light hiking during the daylight hours. We plan to be out at night for awhile to catch the Northern Lights and I hear I have to prepare for rain.

Since I'm flying there I would like to pack as light as possible.

Do I need:

  • hat
  • gloves
  • thermal underwear
  • rain gear
  • and what kind of coat/jacket

Thank so much in advance for the help. So excited to experience Alaska.

Has Anyone Noticed The Seat Protectors?

I saw it pointed out on a recent Fox interview where he was seated on a white couch with the cast and he was sitting on a layer of something on the couch. Also at the Graham Funeral, when he stands you can see what appears to be a pad of some sort on his chair alone.

Have we gotten to the point that EVERYONE in his administration is aware that this man has to have seat protectors where he sits to avoid, what?? Uhmmm, staining a seat cushion??? And they think this is a strong, virile, healthy leader???? And how can they stand and sit so close to him when it’s reported everywhere that he smells so foul????

And Christians. Did you notice this “godly” man’s body language during the Graham service??? He didn’t bow his head when called to pray, he stayed wide eyed looking around the place. His words about Graham were terrible. No grace, no decorum. He found it important to “ tell the truth” that Graham wasn’t liked by everyone?? That man that lies with every breath couldn’t keep that truth to himself for the sake of Graham’s loved ones at his FUNERAL???

Does anybody find it strange that there are so many would-be assassins?

We seem to get a report of them catching men with high powered riffles in the close vicinity of trump and they are caught and we never hear another word about anything. We don’t learn very much about the men themselves or any court proceedings.

I don’t find it strange that there have been so many attempts. I find it strange that they all failed or were apprehended and thats it.

I recall attempts on just about every president in my lifetime since JFK and in some cases we hear about the guy and what happened to them for years. I’m thinking of Hinkley (Reagan), the attempt on Ford.
8 US presidents have had one or two reported attempts, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, Bush and Obama. We are up to 4 reported attempts on Trump, the attempt in 2024, the 1st guy found at his golf course, the attempt at the WHCD, and now another guy at a trump golf course.

Do you think it’s strange every few months there is an attempt ? Do you find it strange that we don’t hear any follow-up on the men? Thoughts?

Do You Know…

Do you know of another trial case where there were so many one liners? Many of the oldies here can recite verse for verse some of his outrageous remarks. Or is it just us here in this thread with this affliction?

For example, I think I can remember just a few things that got memed from the Heard/Depp trial.
