I paid $1 to edit a PDF on PDF House, then closed the site. Later I found out I had apparently “accepted” a $39/month subscription.

Even worse, I was also charged or subscribed to another $39/month service called BetterCV, which I don’t even remember purchasing.

When I went back to PDF Home, there was no clear subscription page, no visible price, and no cancel button. To cancel, you have to contact customer support.

For BetterCV, I didn’t even seem to have an account.

This was extremely misleading, take care folks, scammers are everywhere.
