Amir is a classic abuser type

So in general this show does some problematic things but ep 4 of this season with the introduction of Amir is actually astonishing. He is a classic abuser - narcissistic, keeps pushing and doesn’t take no for an answer, lies, manipulative to keep Syd from speaking out. And what’s worse is that I have a feeling the writers are writing this into a love arc. It’s disgusting.

Packages being opened

Hi neighbors just wanted to see if anyone has experienced receiving packages from USPS or FedEx that are torn open? I received multiple packages in recent months that are clearly opened and/or missing items. This has never happened to me in other areas I’ve lived in Greater Boston :/

Looking for late twenties/thirties third spaces/activities designated for meeting new ppl

There are so many summer activities in downtown Boston, but I’ve been finding it hard to come across similar opportunities for connection out here in the Arlington/Belmont/Watertown suburbs.

I’ve come across a lot of specific skill clubs/library groups and sports leagues, but does anyone know of spaces for just hanging out and meeting new people? Ideally it would be something like a group that tries a new walking trail each week or meets at a new cafe - something low effort and consistent.

Would love to hear what folks in the community know about!

Edit to add: I also tried to see if I could set a new one up on Meetup but it requires a paid subscription to create groups 🫥 so I’m open any suggestions on platforms!

The burrito of shame

My sweet Muffin made it through surgery (for those that wished well on our previous post thank you ✨) and now onto the new hurdle.. burrito of shame for CC feedings for which Muffin definitely has ~opinions~

Surgery vs natural life course

Pig tax - baby Muffin in a hammock

My boy Muffin is 4 and a half years old and he’s had a large lump on his side grow rather quickly over the past few months. Vet tests came back as spindle cell proliferation, possibly cancerous.

I am in a dilemma of considering surgery to remove or whether to let Muffin live out his life. He is as happy and feisty as ever despite the lump. My vet said he’s likely healthy enough for surgery (we have a bloodwork appointment planned to confirm) but my vet also said that if it were his pet he personally would not operate because of Muffin’s age.

Do I settle for maybe getting another year with Muffin as he is with the growing lump and monitor it until it impacts his quality of life? Or do I choose surgery with all the risks of anesthesia, vet visits, post-op care, and random chance in order to try and buy more time with him? What if he lives to 8 instead of 5?

I’m paralyzed by this decision, please share any thoughts or comfort you have.
