Help me date this! Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur EDT. Details in post.

Bought this full 30ml bottle at a thrift store for $20 CAD. It smells amazing. Warm, spicy, and old school.

Made in France.

I checked both of those numbers and had no luck!

Just grabbed this classic! A big boy 200ml bottle! Last time I purchased this was in 1998 when I was 19 years old. Do any young guys on here still rock this juice??

I've always wanted to buy this again... but never did! Now, almost 30 years later, here we are. I bought this secondhand, a 200ml bottle with 175ml remaining, for $40 CAD. I checked the batchcode, and it's a January 2020 bottle.

As soon as I sprayed it on, I was transported back to the late 90s and going to nightclubs in downtown Toronto! I truly forgot how much I loved the smell of this fragrance.

To me, this doesn't smell dated, but I'm old now...so perhaps it does, lol. Are there any guys in their 20s on here still wearing the EDT??

I always thought that this fragrance was ahead of its time back then, and I truly believe that it still holds up in 2026!

My first CHANEL ever. Pour Monsieur EDP. Such an smoothly blended fougere!

I wanted to purchase Chanel Platinum Egoiste EDT for the longest time, and then I found a woman who was selling Pour Monsieur EDP on a buy/sell forum for a fantastic price. It's a new 75ml bottle, and I paid $50 CAD. I couldn't pass it up. Complete blind buy.

Anyway, this is an excellent, mature fragrance. The initial spray really sparkles. It almost feels aldehydic, although aldehydes are not in this fragrance. It's just a high-quality lemon that is not sharp but smooth, fresh, and somewhat creamy. It totally has that "barbershop-ey" essence to it, so if you're into those types of scent profiles, then Pour Monsieur checks off all of those boxes.

This fragrance settles beautifully into a nice warm, woody, and slightly sweet drydown.

It's definitely an old-school type of profile, but not dated by any means. I think anyone can wear this, but I think it will most likely appeal to those 30+.

It can be worn in any environment. Office, dates, weddings, etc. It would lend itself wonderfully to a nice suit.

Spring and summer are perfect for this fragrance, but it's pretty all-season.

Projection and longevity are excellent for me.

I love these old school, masculine fragrances, so I'm giving this a 9/10 for scent alone.

Does anyone else own this? I've never seen it on this forum before. Truth be told, I had no idea it existed!

My most random collection as a 46 year old. It's all over the map!

I'm not picky at all when it comes to fragrances. I love everything from freshies all the way to dark, smoky, and woody types. I wear a fragrance every single day, even when doing absolutely nothing at home. There were some that I initially did not enjoy at first, but then came to love eventually. Many I still purchase for nostalgic reasons. I have yet to spend over $100 on a single fragrance, as many of these are discounted or purchased second hand. Some I enjoy more than others, but I give each of them their due respect for the purpose that they all serve! 🫡

New blind buys! Armani Code Absolu 60ml and Versace Dylan Blue 100ml.

I've never smelled these before, but WOW... both smell absolutely incredible. I'm trying to stop purchasing fragrances, but these were $60 CAD per bottle... I couldn't resist adding them to my collection.
