How is Waze in rural Italy?

Is Waze good at avoiding routing you down dirt roads or too narrow passages?

On a trip to the rural south, I used Google Maps, and had it route me down dirt roads with signs that said tractors only, or "road not suitable for vehicles", when there were good paved alternatives that were much faster.

I tested one route with Waze, and it avoids the dirt road, but half that road is missing on Waze's map (perhaps because it is a path at that point).

Another route I tested avoids a 2 meter wide road, in favor of a longer route that doesn't involve getting your car wedged between two homes.

Anything else I should know about Waze in Italy?
