I built the HEOS + Spotify wake-up alarm I wanted — looking for Android testers
About a month ago, I mentioned in a comment here that I was building an Android app for easier HEOS grouping and device management.
It’s now ready for a small closed test.
I started building Autoplay for HEOS because I use HEOS every day across several rooms — and kept recreating the same combinations of speakers, Spotify music and volume levels.
The feature I wanted most was a proper wake-up routine.
With the app, you can:
- choose a Spotify playlist
- select one HEOS device or a complete multiroom setup
- define the volume for each device
- choose the time and weekdays
- start quietly and gradually raise the volume
The same setup can also be saved as a Scene and started manually with one tap.
I deliberately didn’t try to support every platform and music service. The first version is specifically built for:
- Android
- one or more HEOS devices
- Spotify Premium
I’m now looking for HEOS users who would genuinely use either the wake-up alarm or saved Spotify routines and are willing to share honest feedback about their setup.
Single-speaker setups are just as useful as multiroom systems. I’m especially interested in Denon Home 150/250 speakers and HEOS-enabled Denon or Marantz receivers.
You can find the closed-test details here:
Please don’t post your email address publicly. You can register through the website or contact me at support@autoplayforheos.app.
This is an early test, so bugs and compatibility gaps are possible — finding those across real HEOS setups is exactly the purpose of the test.
Autoplay for HEOS is an independent, unofficial project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Denon, HEOS or Spotify.
