We had an electrician replace knob and tube in our house, and he was going to rewire the light in our dining room. He didn’t initially realize there was a vent right next to where the wire was going to be run, and tried to drill two holes that went diagonally through the joist and into the bottom of the stud. Is this failed attempt something I should worry about down the road?

I put a lot of work into this bike after neglecting it for years, and I know it's not a particularly valuable bike but I enjoyed learning about bikes while putting her back together. I disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt the derailleur and brakes, replaced all of the cables, the chain, and the tires, as well as the handlebar tape. I also polished all the chrome and added all the accessories. Last pic was right before I put it in the shed and forgot about it.

I’ve taken it to two shops, and both told me it’s fine. But no matter how hard I twist the shifter when riding, I can’t get it to go one more click up to the largest chainring

This is probably an unnecessary post, but I am a perfectionist, and the other day I was having issues shifting my mountain bike from the middle to the largest chainring. The derailleur wouldn’t move over far enough, so the chain was rubbing between the two for a bit while I was trying to figure it out. That’s fixed now, but now I’m wondering if I could have damaged/ground down the teeth at all with the chain. Thanks!

I’m so sad and confused. I found my first and favorite tarantula on her back last night, with her legs curled under her. I hoped she was molting but now it’s been overnight and she hasn’t moved. I don’t understand why she would pass. I fed her a cricket two day ago, which I assume she ate because I don’t see it. The enclosure is too short for her to fall and hurt herself. Also, her water isn’t usually that dry, I just didn’t want to disturb her last night.

Is anybody please able to help me get my bike back together? I took the wheel off to change the tires and now the derailleur has no tension and I can’t figure out what I do to mess it up

I have a Honda CR-V and am quite incapable of lifting the kayak high enough to load it. What advice do you guys have for loading it by myself? I was just going to take the cradles off and strap it to the cross bars, but the antenna is in the way

I have a pioneer combo VCR and DVD player that worked fine until today. Now for both tapes and dvd’s, the picture is completely distorted, but the audio works. It’s not the tv because I tried a different player and that one worked fine
