Confused about backup - seem to be on old version

Hi all.

I've searched for an answer to this but can't find one. It sounds as though there are two versions of Dropbox Backup. The old one allows only limited folders to be backed up, whereas the new one allows any files to be included. I seem to be on the old version as when I go to Backup in the Windows Desktop App it offers me only Desktop, Documents and Downloads, and then a list under +More.

I have the individual 2TB Plus account. As far as I can see I should be able to use the new version but I can't see how to get it.

Can anyone please help?

If I swap to the annual deal will I lose existing credits?

Hi all. I’m on Annual Premium Plus (1 credit per month) for £8.99 per month, and for some reason have only just noticed that they’re offering me a deal to swap to the annual plan (2 credits per month) for £104. That comes with 24 credits up front.

Clearly it’s a better deal but I have three credits ATM and I’m a little worried that I might lost them (accidentally…) if I swap.

Can anyone advise, please?

Lawyers in court - how do you silence your iPhone?

Hi all. This is a different kind of question for lawyers.

My new iPhone no longer has the slide switch on the side to make it silent. However, if I set it to ‘Silent Mode’ alarms (and some other kinds of sounds) still go off. I have set up some alarms to go off a couple of times a day to remind me to take medication, but I don’t want to hear them when I’m in court.

Since Silence Mode doesn’t work I tried to find a way to create a new Focus Mode that wouldn’t allow any sound through, but alarms still ring.

I’ve been unable to find an answer to this and I’ve just rung Apple Support, who have told me the only way to do it is to manually turn off each relevant alarm.

Do any of you have an answer to this? Is there, for instance, a 3rd Party app that will temporarily disable iPhone alarms? It seems bizarre to me that this is even an issue.

Thanks for any help 🤞
