Ghost Amp Ankle Issues
I'm new to running and recently purchased my first pair of running shoes - Brooks Ghost Amp
After wearing them a few times I've experienced excruciating achilles pain on both sides of my back ankle. First just the right foot, then both, now more left.
It feels as though the ankle support/padding is too excessive and is digging into my ankle rather than supporting.
I'm going to attempt to exchange the shoe as I am still within the 90 day window. My issue is that I live in a smaller city and don't have access to try on shoes or chat options with an expert.
What other Brooks shoe might I have success with? After researching - the Adrenaline came up as an alternative with a higher drop compared to a lot of other Brooks shoes, however off the photos the ankle support/padding still looks substantial.
I'm used to hardly any padding in my footwear/ generally wear skate shoes.
Any advice is appreciated! I will be looking for an additional pair of waterproof shoes for winter if you have additional recommendations.
