Bike shut off and locked up while riding
Ive got a 2017 FZ07
Long story short was out riding my bike on the outskirts of the city going about 100.When all of a sudden my dash went dead and my bike lost all power,back tire locked up and I ended up “gracefully” putting it down in the ditch.Bikes fine more or less,some panel damage,bars a little bent and the headlights done but alls fine including me.
I believe the issue is the Rotory ignition(Key switch assembly) rattled apart and crapped out when I hit a bump.I did some road side fixing and managed to get the bike to start back up,limped it home with no display tho on dash but my warning lights etc still work as they should
It’s hard to say if the impact from it going down killed the display or if thats from the switch crapping out.So I’m curious if anyone else has had similar issues or experiences with the bike dyeing
