Mono-Rocky Run

I did a fresh game file run using just Rocky. I grinded three eggs at the start and then didn't use any other monsters for combat the rest of the game. Love died once in a keeper battle, so I used a backup rocky for one turn but otherwise it was just these three. Love buffed and healed, Archer built combo, and Ace did the damage. Lots of fun but battles definitely took longer - about 6 turns usually.

Catzerker Seed

Does anyone have a seed that'll start bravery mode with Catzerker (or the first egg)? Alternatively, is there a database of seeds?

I decided that I want to use a team focused around Catzerker for vibes, but I'd rather not have the unlimited flexibility to just pick the optimal team if that makes sense. Bonus points for not knowing the rest of who I'll get so it'll sort of feel like a normal bravery run. Thanks!

Using Multiple Weapon Types Long-term

How often do you focus on one weapon (ideally reaching S+ rank) vs. splitting your skill experience across multiple weapons. Further, not just for meeting class requirements, but to actually go back and forth between the two.

I mostly play hard classic, but I've done a little bit of maddening. I'll often pair up reason/faith for mages, but I won't push the weaker skill (usually faith) past B or A rank. The times I played Maddening, I got low ranks of bow/axes for class requirements for key skills, but I stopped them there and still primarily raised a single weapon skill.

For example, my favorite unit is Annette. I've focused her on reason (Warlock 3 times) and axes (Warrior 2 times, Wyvern Lord 1 time, and Fortress Knight 1 time) but never both on the same run. If you split your weapon usage, you'll raise the skill slower and generally classes only provide bonus skill experience in battle for one or the other. Am I missing out by not trying a hybrid build now that I picked up the DLC and try something like Valkyrie using both reason and axes and not worrying about going beyond A or A+?

I’m going to do a PMU of Fates. Picking Revelation since among the three routes, it has by far the largest cast. Corrin is free, plus 12 other units to match the deployment for the final chapter.

Rules:

  • Corrin is free, but you pick the class/talent.
  • For the other 12 units, pick their class from their default options. (E.g. Azura can be a Songstress, Kinshi Knight, or Falcon Knight).
  • For child units, if the default parent isn’t part of the selected team, I’ll use them until I get the child unit and then get rid of them. I’ll prioritize picking the other parent from the selected units.
  • Everyone else will be killed off immediately (unless needed for recruiting).
  • No DLC/Capture characters/etc.

Units:

  1. Corrin – Xxxx
  2. Charlotte – Maid
  3. Kaden – Basara
  4. Orochi – Merchant
  5. Leo – Sorcerer
  6. Shiro – Swordmaster
  7. Sakura – Falcon Knight
  8. Keaton – Berserker
  9. Hinoka – Kinshi Knight
  10. Kagero – Master Ninja
  11. Peri – Paladin
  12. Odin – Swordmaster
  13. Xander - Wyvern Lord

I just finished a challenge run of Binding Blade with three restrictions:

  • No using shops (prep screen, armories, item shops, secret shops, etc.). I'd say no money but I recruited Hugh.
  • Mounted units (cavalry, pegasus, wyverns, etc.) were off-limits except for recruitment.
  • No arena usage.

It was a fun run with rule #1 really limiting what items you have access to (very limited 1-2 axes & lances), deterring fighting extra enemies, and ultimately skipping most of the gaiden chapters. I did 8x, but I skipped all the other gaidens. Around chapter 12, I realized I wasn't going to have enough weapons to do the extra ~7 chapters going for the true ending would mean. I also tried to funnel my exp so I could build sufficient weapon ranks to use better weapons. For example, there were only 8~9 anima tomes in the entire game I could get.

Surviving cast: (base level, promoted level) - HP/Str/Skill/Spd/Luck/Def/Res

  • Roy (20/2) – 39/16/17/13/20/11/13, 228 battles, 90 kills
  • Dieck (20/15) – 56/22/25/20/16/16/8, 347 battles, 223 kills
  • Lilina (18/16) – 33/30/15/23/16/9/22, 167 battles, 136 kills
  • Wendy (20/16) – 60/21/20/20/29/21/8, 304 battles, 151 kills
  • Igrene (14) – 40/20/18/23/13/12/12, 113 battles, 76 kills
  • Yoder

Weapons were running low and very little was in the convoy (berserk/silence staves, partially used Longbow, and some lances). Lilina had an angelic robe, Echidna had the body ring, and Wendy got the rest of the stat boosters.

Notes on deceased units (who usually had a couple weapons on them and defeated units lose their items in Binding Blade):

  • Bors was killed due to two crits from Rutgur in Chapter 4.
  • Cheap on healing, Dorothy died in chapter 8.
  • Used Elen and then Saul, but Saul died to bad placement in chapter 11A.
  • Tate got herself killed attacking Klein, and then Klein ended up stranded by the cavalier reinforcements. Didn’t get their weapons.
  • Ray died in chapter 13 to a 4% crit, losing a couple dark tomes. I had been planning to use him.
  • Lalum died in chapter 15. Recruited Percival but I should have provided support since Percival wasn’t allowed to help her. Elen died to bad placement same chapter.
  • Chad was one-shotted by a ballista in 19 Ilia.
  • Wolt died in 20 Ilia. I was running low on bows and I wanted to focus on Igrene so he was used as a shield. Rutger died also, but he was never really used.
  • Fa died in chapter 21. I had her up to level 10 with an A rank Igrene support but she got doubled by a Wyvern Lord. Squishier than I realized. Lot took himself out with the Devil Axe (the only Axe I was willing to deprive Echidna of at this point). Niime got attacked by Wyvern Lord who I shouldn’t have let sneak through. I deployed a bunch of unused and in some cases unarmed units here that died: Fir, Oujay, Sophia, Astol, Geese, Hugh…
  • Echidna died in chapter 22 in the Throne room by a dragon plus a low accuracy Fenrir. I believe she was around level 14-15 (184 battles, 112 kills) when she died.
