Spraypaint portrait of Messi after scoring in his first game of this World Cup!

16"x20" canvas, I hand drew/cut 14 layers of stencils, and used primarily spraypaint, with some paint pens for the finer details!

[Art Market] Have any of you noticed an impact in showing the titles of your paintings compared to not?

Apologies if I worded that poorly, but I'm pondering my art show setup, and wondering if it's worth it to print title cards for my paintings.

I make spraypaint art, and only do originals, usually bringing 60-80 paintings to each art show, all on canvas or canvas boards. The canvas board paintings I've never bothered to name, as I sell them for $25-30 and they're usually pop-culture references. For my canvas paintings I've been hit and miss, lately I've been doing some more abstract stuff, so the titles I choose are the only piece of context that the viewer gets when looking at them, so I feel like I should do it.

Curious to see if others here have noticed an impact in their business from including/excluding the painting names when selling?

Lucid Summer Daydream, Spraypaint on Canvas - SamSam Paints (me) 2026

I've been exploring different concepts with these hexagonal paintings, this one is the most explicit about the psychedelic nature of it so far!

Somewhat psychedelic spraypaint series I'm working on

Maybe I'm overdoing the hexagon stencils, but I've been getting into more intricate backgrounds lately in an attempt to make my art a little more psychedelic in nature, and having a lot of fun with it!

I'm working on creating a class for a gallery I have some paintings in, however since I've been making stencils for over 20 years, I might take certain aspects of my process for granted, and I want to be able to reach people with low/no experience to get them involved.

My main question to those who are just getting into this art form, or who are contemplating it, is - what do you wish you knew before you got/get into it?

Also, what part of making stencil art appeals to you the most? My loose concept for this class is to provide pre-drawn stencils and utility knives, to help people make a multi-layer stencil and make a piece of art with it that they can take home. I do have the opportunity to do multiple classes, so I can always branch one off to a more advanced class, but I feel like a more general, introductory class will have way broader appeal.

I appreciate any input, thank you!

My fist time going for a large surrealist (ish) piece, made with spraypaint and paint pens.
