Hey everyone, Nate here, creator of the Perdurant Collective brand and, by extension, all of its designs. I've received a bunch of questions regarding the "Bending Boulders" designs recently and felt like it'd be a good idea to go through all that together here.

Growing up, I was an avid climber - trad climb, nothing crazy and mainly indoors since the center of France isn't considered the most rugged place to practice it outdoors lol. Unfortunately, life went on and I kind of left that sport out of my endurance wallet, until I moved to Singapore, and started traveling around Southeast Asia. This is when adventure became real and sports more important to my daily life. As soon as I settled back, after my almost-3-year-long trip around SEA by bicycle and packraft (as Nate Explores on Twitch and YouTube, go check it out here), I signed up for my local bouldering gym and the addiction kicked right back in.

One thing I've realised, while watching myself and others climbing those colorful chugs and holds, is that we somehow always try to bend the routes in the way that makes us feel the most comfortable - and this is why the Bending Boulders designs were created. As climbers, we climb - but we also create - we create our own ways, we make our own mistakes and reach the top, sometimes by ourselves and others with help from fellows. To me, this is a definition of Perdurance. We build, we accumulate, we grow, and we keep doing so.
