Just a heads-up for anyone riding motorcycle-looking e-bikes, ZATO bikes, or similar around Seoul: please wear a helmet.

Police seem to be stopping riders pretty regularly lately, especially on the cycling roads near the Han River and on city streets. So far, in my experience, they've been pretty chill and are mostly giving warnings rather than fines.

Still, it has happened too many times in the past week for comfort, so it's probably not worth taking the chance.

Helmet on, ride safe, and save yourself an unnecessary conversation with the police. 😅
