EMG always necessary?
Hi everyone,
my doctor thinks I might have cubital tunnel syndrome and is sending me to see a neurologist. They're going to do Nerve Conduction Studies with electricity but I'm worried they're also gonna want to do an EMG.
I'm incredible scared of needles and have trauma surrounding it, so I'm not sure I'd be able to do it without severe panic attacks.
Is an EMG always necessary or is it possible to do other tests instead (MRI, etc.)?
I'm starting to get really scared of my appointment, so I'm hoping someone here can calm me down a little :D Thank you.
