What seasons / episodes should I rewatch?

Every time I come on reddit, I'm reminded why I've rewatched this show over 10 times. I'm in the mood for a short binge. (Short because my network is a problem) Any suggestions for seasons to binge or episodes to rewatch? All of it, I know, but if you were to zone in one (a few).

Femicide: Men have failed us. And yes, ALL MEN - This is what you can do.

Disclaimer: Read logically, not with your triggers or emotions.

Sometime last year, femicide was a hot topic(AGAIN). Some guy put a post up about what women should do; monitor dressing, avoid certain places, hours of the day etc. But here we are again. It's worse now and children are the worst affected. This was my response to his post and he immediately pulled it down. Lucky I took screenshots because I think it's still so appropriate to this day, all around the world. Please read them to understand - not to defend your fellow man.

When women say we'd rather meet a bear than a man in the forest. If you read between the lines, women are saying - we would rather be killed than raped. If you don't believe this, as a man, would you rather be forcefully sodomised or killed? That will answer your question and probably make you choose the bear as well. Also, if you ever had a hard time understanding what rape does to a woman - think of that. If a man forcefully sodomised you - the shame, filthiness, brokenness, weakness, lack of will to live, self doubt - imagine that's what we deal with repeatedly. It's a very broken human experience.

Ata nyinyi mnajua, wanaume huskiza wanaume wenzao. So, if you genuinely want to get your country together, make it better for your mother, daughter, wife, sisters, aunts, friends, etc... SPEAK UP. The things I've listed are very doable at whatever level you are. Because when we fix femicide, some things will naturally be better in this country. It will mean better handling of cases at police stations, justice in courts, less violence on the streets etc. When you fix sexual and gender injustices, the ripple effect is enjoyed by both men and women. Because men are also affected by these matters and the system dismisses them when they even attempt to speak up. Honestly, saa hii the only men we should all be fighting are kina Ruto and friends. RUTO MUST GO!!!

In the words of Thomas Sankara:

  • Inequality can be done away with only by establishing a new society, where men and women will enjoy equal rights, resulting from an upheaval in the means of production and in all social relations. Thus, the status of women will improve only with the elimination of the system that exploits them…

I hope MEN will be the ones leading the next femicide march.
