I was mulling over / kind of stuck what frameset to buy as I'm getting a new bike (it was down to Dogma F, Y1RS and Madone SLR Gen 7). Completely irrelevant (or so I thought) factor - the colorway - solved it for me :D
Ok, so the new Endurace CFR came out. Apparently it tests only 1W slower in wind tunnel vs Aeroad CFR (not sure at which speed but the differences in aerodynamics don't matter apparently), has a stiffer bottom bracket / back as per van der Poel request - I assume that's vs the earlier Endurace version, not sure how it stacks up against Aeroad CFR, anyone knows?
Endurace has a bigger fork clearance so turning it occasionally into a gravel bike becomes an option and then there is a new integrated aero handlebar that apparently tests significantly faster in wind tunnel than the standard one (not sure how it tests against the optional aero drops though).
So... doesn't it kind of cannibalize the Aeroad? Not sure what's the benefit of getting it, when you can get a bike just as fast but more versatile. Am I missing any benefits of Aeorad CFR over Endurance CFR?
-edit-
One thing worth mentioning - new Endurace CFR model has a "2027" in the model number, while current Aeroad CFR has "2026". Wink wink 😏
Goddamnit, I cant stop thinking about it because I know I've this one somewhere, it's probably something obvious 😃
