Got laid off but my partner still has a job. Would the lottery consider my previous income or count it as zero and only check theirs?

I got laid off about 3 months ago from tech and it’s pretty grim out there. There’s no prospect of finding anything in the near future. Would the lottery consider my income from last year, what I made so far this year or none of it?
Thank you!

Warning: Hokuro Clothing

Besides all the posts here about how the company scams and products are low quality, I just learned that they also steal art from other companies and small artists.

I have a Pokémon shirt that I absolutely love and I suddenly started getting ads on Instagram for Hokuro selling the exact same art. I know who did the original design so I messaged them asking if they did some sort of partnership - they said no. It turns out Hokuro stole the art and is simply printing and selling it, as well as running paid instagram ads for it.

Hokuro somehow has 300k followers on Instagram which makes this all even more messed up. Don’t support them if you don’t want to steal from smaller artists and companies.

Landlord refuses to tell me the early termination fee for the lease

I’ve been in an apartment for a couple of years (it’s a lottery rerental) and there’s absolutely nothing on the lease about early termination. I had a hardship and need to consider ending my lease early. I reached out to management asking for the terms and after taking 2 months to reply, they simply said they need an estimate date. I asked if there’s fees involved besides being responsible for rent until a new tenant moves in and they simply said yes. I asked how much and they just insisted they need a date.
Is it normal for them to refuse to give me more information on top of not having it on the lease? I’m just trying to make an informed plan before I set an exact date.

Can yellow cab drivers charge a flat fee inside the city?

I was in midtown and asked the driver to take me to an emergency room literally 3 blocks away. He refused to turn on the meter despite me asking multiple times. He said I needed to pay a flat fee of $16. I asked him to turn on the meter and he refused again. I needed to go to the ER and he was wasting time so I told him to just go and he still made me pay the $16 after the 3 blocks. Are they allowed to do that?

I got a picture of the car with the license plate and medallion.

——-
UPDATE:
Sorry I had to be in the ER overnight and I’m just catching up here. I’m mostly okay now, but felt extremely taken advantage of when I was just trying to save my life and this man did this to delay it.
I just checked the receipt and it has a full name so I assume it’s him! And for those asking, I didn’t refuse to pay because he was trying to argue with me when the cars doors were locked and I needed to get out to make it to the hospital. I couldn’t even breathe and this man was delaying me getting help. I’m assuming cabs (or just him) are probably comfortable doing this with the surge of tourists for the World Cup that don’t know the rules :(

Previous tenant has an LLC in my address?

I’ve been in the same apartment for 1.5 years and I’m constantly having to “return to sender” mail that seems important for this business - bank letters, unemployment(?), Verizon documents, etc. A ton of junk mail too. I can see the person’s name in some of them and I even found their business website and Instagram. Is it weird if I message them to please ask to change the address? Is there any NYC resource to help me with this?

How is this allowed?

I mentioned having eczema today on a phone call with a pharmacist when they were checking if a new medication (for something else) could affect any of my previous diagnoses. I haven’t had an eczema flare up in years and don’t talk about it or research it at all since it’s not relevant. Truly my only time mentioning it in the past 3 or so years was this call with the pharmacist that’s supposed to be private. Now I opened Reddit for the first time in the day and I’m getting back to back ads for eczema meds? How is this allowed? Is this not some sort of violation?
