Looking for Recommendations for a Cash Back Buyers Realtor

I haven’t bought a home in 10 years and the market has changed a lot since then. I’m in the market to buy in Riverside South and am looking for recommendations for a good cash back realtor to work with.

I’m primarily focused on resale but am open to a new build (For example an inventory home with a builder) based on the new hst guidance which I’d need their help navigating.

Need Reddit’s help!

AITA for not wanting to pay for a broken blind

I rented an 8 year old townhome in 2024 and found the living room blind was broken the day I moved in. The unit has zebra blinds which are made of sheer fabric with a weighted bar on the bottom that the fabric threads through to open and close. When I went to close it, the whole blind fell on top of me - It only had 1 bracket holding it up when there should be 4, the bottom bar had been removed by the previous tenant and was in the basement, and the blind was ripped. It’s a big blind at 10’ x 7’, the bars are very heavy and the blind material itself feels like tissue paper.

I reported the damage to my landlord and she came 3 times to fix it - she was diy’ing the repair herself using glue and it wasn’t holding. I can’t use the blind at all now because the repair just gets jammed it the top mechanism and I gave up trying to use it.

Fast forward to today where my bedroom blind which is the same size as the living room ripped when I tried to lower it, the threads got caught in the bottom bar and the left side ripped and I couldn’t stop it.

My landlord told me she’s going to send me the invoice for the new bedroom blind which she expects me to pay. She even went so far as to mention that she didn’t charge me for her time making the repairs to the living room blind when I moved in. No discussion, no negotiation, nothing. She also told me she is going to order ‘2 blinds made with better fabric’ this time because one large heavy blind made with light fabric isn’t working.

So Reddit, please tell me if I’m an asshole for not wanting to pay for her new blinds…..Should I have offered to pay for the replacement myself or should I be looking for a new landlord? Help!!
