Non-Disclosure IVF

My mom was diagnosed with HD 4 years ago. I decided that, right now, I don’t want to know my HD status for mental health reasons. My husband and I are at the point in our lives that we are ready to start a family. We decided together to do non-disclosure IVF. I wasn’t told how many follicles I have, nor how many eggs were retrieved/fertilized, etc. Well today, we found out we have at least TWO embryos that are PGT-A tested and HD free! (They anonymously tested me and so if I don’t have HD they didn’t have to test embryos for it). Anyway, no one else in my life understands this and I have just felt so many emotions today. If anyone has any questions on the non-disclosure piece or IVF in general, please feel free to ask!

First ever pizza 🍕

We have never used a pizza oven before but love pizza so finally got one! I made the dough today and this was the first attempt 🥹 It was actively snowing/windy and getting dark by the time we did it, so I think the oven maybe was having a hard time staying hot enough, but I think it turned out okay for a first try! I need to get better at shaping and launching and let it cook a little more.

Dog Dental Positive Stories

Just wanted to hear positive stories of your dog getting a dental! My 8 year old boy got one 2 years ago because of a tooth abscess. He handled the anesthesia great and was himself that night. I have him scheduled Thursday for another dental, he has some tartar and just trying to be proactive so he doesn’t get another abscess ever! But I’m getting myself so worked up worried about him dying that it makes me want to cancel. He is my baby and it scares me since this is more “preventative” since his tartar is just mild right now.

RGI for PGT

I had my retrieval on 5/2 and found out that there were some biopsies to ship today from my clinic to RGI for PGT (RGI is doing both PGT-A and PGT-M for me, I’m a non disclosure). I just realized at the bottom of the checklist RGI sent back before they developed my probe in Feb that it says “Please notify RGI by e-mail of your stimulation start date.”. Umm I definitely didn’t email them, I’m not sure if my clinic did. And RGi is receiving biopsies tomorrow. Did anyone else not notify them of their stim start date and it end up being okay? It’s stressing me out 😅
