What’s up everyone.
For the last 30 days I’ve been posting a video every single day documenting what it’s like building Basement from scratch. The series is called “building a business before AI takes my job” and it’s been living on YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
Today I’m bringing it to Reddit.
Day 30 is about our biggest release yet. Full gamification system. Leveling, badges, four rarity tiers, reputation you earn not buy. The whole thing ships across iOS and the Chrome extension.
The catch: we need a launch video and none of us have ever made one. So we’re figuring it out in public.
If you’ve ever seen a launch video that actually made you download an app, drop it in the comments.
We’re studying every good one we can find.
Also genuinely curious: if you could automate anything right in your browser, what would it be? Stock analysis, finding the best price, lead generation, news alerts? Something else?
Day 30. Let’s go.
