Is it common for colleagues (actually, former manager/staff), albeit friendly to just pash like this?! That really looked out of place and put me out.

Hi, I intend to get rid of carpet in living+dining (hate it + pets mess) and tiling in kitchen (because we clearly can’t be trusted to not drop and break something on a weekly basis) and replace by some form of wood/engineered/hybrid etc flooring. I am only “allowed” to do so if we get “underfloor heating” (“because hard floors feel cold”).
Our house is on a slab. I am looking at the thin electric solutions like cosy toes or others. It would be for living dining meal and kitchen 3.6 x 5.1 + 3.6 x 3.1 + 3 x 4.3 + 2 x 2 =46.42 sqm
Has anyone got feedback on the concept, what is available *installed* in WA or as DIY kits, how hard it is to DIY (minus whatever electric connection I d get a sparky for), brands to avoid, good product, etc?
PS (I have put “heating” in quotes as we have other source of heating -wood stove and reversed cycle, and would probably be set more for comfort than overall heating, depending on comparative efficiency)
Does the anticipated change to CGT apply to shares and ETFs?
If so and I have extra cash available, would it make sense to buy extra ETFs now on the assumption (?) there will be a grandfathering for already held assets?
