I put some serious elbow grease into this video so I gotta post it on here before it becomes ancient history.

These are my first games back from a week and a half break and while my initial thoughts have changed since i played these matches back in the middle of season 9.0, I’m still optimistic about Sai’s place in the game.

Psy feels pretty good, still very niche (at least on console) despite being just one tier below meta.

She’s like the non-meta final boss, as long as you take the broken characters out of the game in the ban phase you should be running lobbies.

Unfortunately there are more than 3 broken characters to choose from so pick your bans wisely (Perma ban Black Widow!!)

I’m seeing a lot of doom posting about the S9.5 patch notes, and general discontent with the Sai’s current state.

Ppl on this subreddit considering giving up on Psy in favour of less difficult characters or because they think other characters provide more value.

Also, console players get such a bad rep, for being “bots” and “melee merchants” to the point where I’m even seeing it affect us Psy players.

Well I’m here to tell you that’s all wrong.

Psylocke’s value lies within her difficulty. At her core Psy is a character that rewards engaging with her skill ceiling, and an infinite ceiling means infinite rewards.

Psylocke is The Most Proactive Hero in the game, you can do whatever you want, whenever you want as long as you’re skilled enough.

That’s why she needs to be difficult, it’s a necessary evil.

Instead of joining the dark side and playing meta, ban it and show the lobby that there’s levels to this shit.

Brawl and playing back-to-front is where Psy shines the most.

I’ve seen mixed reactions to the psy nerf but I wanted to hold off on forming my opinion until playing her… played her and wow does she do no dmg. Swear this is the worst state she’s been in since release, even S6.5 didn’t feel this bad.

WE yes WE reuse clips round here 🗿. I’ve gone around the block many times using different characters in marvel rivals but none even come close to the feeling I get when playing psylocke, even at her worst she was all I played and now that she will be in her best state in recent memory I will continue to hone my skills. Good luck in season 9 everyone. Prime psy is back!!

Got cheating accusations even though I’m on console and my accuracy is mid. Does it look like I’m cheating from these clips?

Can’t buy a win, also disable aim assist at max dead zone if you haven’t already, it feels so much better.

My aim may be trash and my ult’s dogshi but I’m still having a blast on this character. Psylocke and Elsa feel very similar except Elsa’s gun actually does damage, I can’t believe this character used to be stronger 😭

Daredevil is a washed up has been and is only good against the defenceless. It feels like every time I’m up against one on psy I drop a nuke. I will no longer be banning daredevil and I implore you all to do the same, instead prioritise banning Luna, cyclops and gambit. GL out there psy mains!

Even more so than Daredevil, Star Lord, Loki, cyclops, even phoenix, if you want to play Psylocke you must take Luna snow out of the game in the ban phase.

If the game is on the line, TRUST IN ME… to c9 the objective :(

The Ghost dash gotta be up there as least useful Psy combo along with the teamup shuriken cancel “one shot” combo. I know gotta stop going for these, but it just feels too cool when successfully executed.

I swear there is a curse placed upon my main account. I objectively play worse on average on my alt (considering I use it to warm up on psy before switching accounts), yet It took me a fraction of the time and effort to reach the same elo compared to my main. Not only that but there are never any throwers on my alt and the matchmaking seems heavily favoured towards me. Does this happen to anyone else?
