Hi,

Has anyone here seen the Paris shadowcast and what's your opinion on it, and do you think its done differently than casts in the rest of the world?

It has been playing in Paris Stufio Galande for 40 years every weekend now so probably the longest/oldest shadowcast and I've been in it for 3 years.

I now moved to the UK and a friend wants to start a shadowcast here so im translating our french script to english and its a lot of jokes, constant call backs, interactions with the screen and audience. There's basically so much going on all the time that you usually can't follow normally the plot of the movie if you wanted to/haven't seen it.

Of course we have the costumes, know the choreos and re enact whats happening on the screen but it's never been about how well we act or how faithful we are to the movie.

I have no comparison, so I was wondering if our tradition of mocking the film/using it to make political + bawdy + outeageous comments is shared in the world (I feel like its the real RHPS spirit) and how you feel its done in other countries ? I mean we are french so probably too extreme for the UK so I'm still gonna water it down
