I know the shading/hatching in the hair and cheeks look weird. I messed up ngl.

I tried to do my best and follow the Loomis methode to create the head and everything, I think I messed up on face proportions?

Plus, I don't know where she's supposed to be looking. Maybe staring right into your soul or somewhere at far distance.

I need advice on how to detect problem and fix and how to avoid mistake.

Note to self, I'm at the very least trying. Hopefully one day I'll get there.

I haven't been counting exactly how many days it's been I started to learn but I doodled this today and it kinda made me happy :)

I watch his Livestream on YouTube channel but since I'm beginner I don't understand at all, also I don't speak Japanese. He does sketch in such a way a beginner like me can't understand. He creates face and body out of thin air instead of sketching structure since he is so good, experienced and talented so it's very hard to understand what he's doing and how he's doing.

Any help please, would be highly appreciated.

1. Think of head as a sphere, wrap the hair around it.

2. Think of hair has volume that breaks into 3d shapes, mostly ribbons.

​

3. I don't know...

Learning how to draw eyes from chommangs Drawings on YouTube.

I feel bad when I follow YouTube tutorials, seem to understand and copy their result close enough then be absolutely dumbfounded when trying to draw on my own from references...

Also, no more boxes and circles please, I gave up wanting to learn to draw many many times because of boxes. I managed to understand somewhat about 1P, 2P, and 3P perspective boxes and seem to be able draw then barely good enough.

Also, Ibis paint x on tiny phone and finger gang cuz no money for buying iPads or stylus 👍

I just wanna learn to draw pretty (primarily anime?) girls 😭

The hardest part is drawing the shape for the base for the palm. Also my hand hurts after holding it like this for to use as reference...
