Looking to hire
Hey Tbay,
I’m looking to bring on a dependable, skilled labourer to help with local residential exterior renovations company. I'm posting directly to keep communication more direct and personal, then we can move to interviews if interested.
The Role:
- Assisting with the tear-out of existing units and staging/installing new exterior windows and doors.
- Heavy lifting and careful maneuvering of bulky, fragile units (glass, framed units, patio doors).
- Weatherproofing, sealing/insulating, basic trim prep, and maintaining a clean, safe site.
- Accurate operation of standard hand and power tools.
What’s Required:
- Physical Strength: Able to lift 50+ lbs and safely handle heavy, awkward units with a partner throughout the day.
- Tool Competency: You know how to read a tape measure accurately, understand plumb/level/square, and have hands-on experience using drills, impacts, and saws safely.
- Working at Heights: Comfortable on ladders, step-ups, and staging platforms.
- The Basics: Punctual, strong attention to detail, reliable transportation to local job sites, and your own steel-toe boots. All other tools and site equipment are provided.
Pay & Hours:
- **$21.00 – $35.00/hour**, based on your practical trade experience and autonomy on site (the higher end is reserved for someone who already knows exterior installations/retrofits).
- Full-time, consistent weekday hours.
If you're competent with hand tools, we do train!
If this sounds like a fit, shoot me a DM with a brief summary of your hands-on construction experience and your current availability.
