A Director saying that they have interest or ideas for a sequel doesn’t mean it’s already in development.
After Forgotten Island, Dreamworks will release 4 movies in 2027. Cocomelon, HTTYD 2 LA, and Shrek 5. As for the fourth film it’s completely unknown. What do you think it is?
Co-Director Conrad Vernon recently revealed that the voice acting for Shrek 5 is finished
You know that one episode of Steven Universe with Uncle Grandpa? Imagine if Trollhunters did that with another Dreamworks property about Trolls???

Shrek the Third honestly wasn’t bad; I felt it had too many jokes and fewer grounded moments than the first two had. For example, King Harold’s death should’ve been taken more seriously, and I also felt Shrek and Arthur’s relationship had so much missed potential. The main concern Shrek has is that he wouldn’t be a good father; why not give Shrek and Arthur a father-son type of bond? And maybe a scene where Shrek tells Arthur he hopes his kid is like him? You know, something wholesome. Those were the only issues I had with the movie; there are still some funny jokes, and Donkey and the princesses are the best parts of the film.
Rise of the Guardians is the most overhyped Dreamworks movie. I’m sorry, but I couldn’t get into it.
HTTYD: the first film is great, the second one is pretty good and honestly better than the first. The third one? Not bad, but could’ve been better. A lot of the criticisms HTTYD fans give THW feel very nitpicky. Of course, they aren’t going to acknowledge RTTE. You have to remember that RTTE was very niche, and most people have never seen or heard of it before, so if they added characters like Dagur or Heather in the movies, most people would have no clue who they are. “Look at these new characters that somehow personally know Hiccup.”
The Bad Guys movies are probably the most okay movies Dreamworks has ever made. They’re fun, action-packed, and beautifully animated films, but that’s all they are to me. I didn’t get invested in any character. Diane had an interesting backstory that they did nothing with, and honestly, I didn’t really care that they got rid of her story because she’s genuinely an overhyped character. It feels like people only like her because she’s hot.
The Trolls franchise gets too much hate. Sure, they have their problems. But would I call them the worst movies Dreamworks has put out? No. I share the same feelings I had with TBG about Trolls: fun movies that didn’t really pull me in.
Also, Madagascar is (10/10) franchise.

One thing we know is that this untitled film is part of a valuable franchise, which tells us it’s a sequel. It’s not Bad Guys or Wild Robot since those films are more recent. The way they say “valuable” makes me think it’s one of the older DWA films. Recently V Scooper (a scooper) just reposted this tweet today… so I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s Madagascar 4. What do you think?????
