I didn’t know him or his music, but seen some of his posts criticizing his label/ Atlantic and him going off on his own. He then died in a helicopter crash. There’s also some odd imagery in his music videos and some Jesus imagery/ numerology oddities. 

Also here’s a video on the “death clause” in the music industry which can make someone worth more dead than alive (Mac miller, lil peep, juice WRLD, xxx, mJ come to mind, not saying this is what happened just what first comes to mind)
