GTA 7 location
The problem with Chicago that no one seems to understand (cue the “gta 7 Chicago” people) is that FROM A GAMEPLAY and ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA perspective
There is NOTHING that Chicago offers - that NYC (liberty city) doesn’t do better.
Yeah Chicago is its own mega city cultural hub or prowess, people, reputation, craziness, beauty etc BUT SO IS NEW YORK. Just MORE.
Because it’s fucking New York.
That doesn’t take away from Chicago or its magnificence at all. New York is just fucking New York, lol. Nothing compares. That’s why it is what it is - and why we’ve had GTA there.
That’s why it just doesn’t make sense to do a gta in Chicago.
Also, you gotta admit the new tech (which we have no concept of what that will be like in 15 years) but done in liberty city would be so rad.
LA is culturally significantly different from NY, it’s the classic west cost mega cultural epicenter. That’s why LA makes sense.
Same thing with Miami. Its cultural prowess is unique and like nothing else. Not as big a new yorks. Big growing rapidly and expanding its cultural footprint constantly in both good and bad ways, like all of these cities.
