Hi, everyone. I’m an a sophomore international student from Kazakhstan currently studying jn China. I need to get at least one award in the next six months to switch my major and apply for different university and get a scholarship. My own Chinese university is a bit not what I expected, so I want to try my chances again and aim for better university if possible.

I’d like to ask if some of you know some academic opportunities related to AI/ML major or Software Engineering. Or maybe research opportunities. It would a great help.

I’m an international student from Kazakhstan.
I’m kinda targeting this Belt and Road scholarship or Type B 100% tuition waiver scholarship. I wanna apply to Fudan university, Shanghai Jiao Tong, Nanjing University, Tsinghua university, Zhejiang University. My biggest dream is Fudan, Shanghai Jiao Tong or Zhejiang.

I’m currently starting as a second year in Yancheng Normal University in China, but I want to switch majors and apply for other university with a scholarship.

I wanna know if this is usual and possible if I’m currently already studying in Chinese university, cause many scholarships say that you only need to be non Chinese citizen, but I don’t know for sure.

My Stats:
Sat: predicted 1510-1520
IELTS: predicted 8.5
GPA: 4.8/5 or 3.84/4.0 in American system.
Wanted major: AI/ML or Software Engineering.
Language: English taught programs.

Extracurriculars:

— Long term ~2 year tutorship experience.
— I worked as a Math tutor.
— And as an IELTS tutor.
— Was employed as an English language methologist for children who learned English as their third language/7 months
— Currently working on AI trained website/app.
— Have a vlog about China and its culture.
— Have a channel about education and opportunities for Central Asians.
—And also participating in hackathon on training AI models rn, but idk the results yet.
—Amateur guitar playing.
—And graphic designer & digital artist experience.

Honors:
—nothing major, only regional first place diplomas for English language olympiad.
—and some really basic stuff like diplomas for excellent performance in my after-school additional classes
