Seeking book recommendations for a fan of Channel 5 and Andrew’s Journalism work

Hey yall! Been a fan of Andrew’s works since AGNB and always appreciated his coverages especially around the political zeitgeist in America. Just finished watching his interview with Maggie Freleng who I wasn’t aware of beforehand but definitely became a fan. Them discussing potential psyops transpiring around the CK assassination was hella interesting and made me want to know more about the individuals and historical events that are connected to these operations. As a gen z myself, the last few years have got me feeling real disenfranchised with the current system. Seeing world leaders and mainstream media bend the knee to tech oligarchs and the 1% behind the curtain, the handling of the epstien files, the slow corporatization and shittfication of the internet at times can feel real disheartening.

That being said I’d like to be more educated of the inner workings behinds these discourses plus I’ve also been meaning to read more this year so if yall got any recs for books from any genre (ideally fiction to start off) related to the stuff they were discussing, themes of anti-establishment / corporation, counterculture, conspiracies, psyops etc I’d really appreciate it. Thanks guys ✋

Help me choose my first harmonica

I’m a total newbie coming into this with no prior music knowledge but I’ve always had an interest and appreciated the accessibility of a harmonica. My goal right now is to get the hang of things, do some riffs while I’m out hiking and work my way up to be able to cover Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t she lovely” (the covers on YouTube mostly use A key which sound the best but I think a C key would be more ideal for a first harp? What are y’all thoughts on that, should I get A or C key?)

Looking through this sub and online so far I’m seeing these 3 popular diatonic harps that don’t break the bank and I’m able to purchase in Singapore:

Special 20: SGD$60
Suzuki Bluesmaster: SGD$60
Easttop T008K: SGD$30

I’m a little hesitant on getting the T008k due to the quality control issues I’ve read online and I want a harp that’ll last without giving me much issues . If y’all have any other recommendations do tell I just want a good first harp that’ll inspire me to keep playing:)

What calculator to get as a Mech Eng student in NUS?

I am an incoming freshman from poly and will be taking MA1301, MA1512, MA1513 first year and MA1505 the following academic year. Gave my old calculator to my younger sibling so I’m in the market for a new one and was wondering if a scientific calculator would be sufficient for my time at uni or would I ever need to use a graphing calculator??

I’ve been seeing the Casio fx-991EX being mentioned in the nus sub is that something I should consider idk if it’s approved for exams can’t seem to find a list anywhere..?

Would greatly appreciate y’all giving some calculator recommendations:)

Help preparing for Uni Math MA1505

Apologies I know I sound dumb but I’d appreciate if anyone could help guide me through this..

I’m a polytechnic graduate and will be attending NUS Mech Eng this year after I ORD. I’m not strong in math and the last time I took A math was in o levels and I barely passed then and by now I genuinely have forgotten every math concept. I’m assuming I’ll have to take MA1505 in my first year so I really need some help on how I can slowing start getting my brain back to normal and how I can start re learning everything for this module.

Do I start with basic differentiation and integration first or something else because my foundation is really that weak. What resources can I look into to study? Is there any online courses I can take or videos to watch. I know I’ve procrastinated and have about a little over a month before school starts but I’m fully prepared to get back into studying now and I’ll truly be grateful for any advice/help.
