Mamiya Sekor-C 80mm f/1.9 645 on the Fujifilm GF100SII

Went to a carnival parade in Rotterdam with this combo and I loved it. I used the Fotodiox tilt-shift adapter mostly as a regular one but played with the tilt as you can see in the last photos

INA 25mm f/3.5 on Fuji X-E5 with a speedbooster

Quick test of a quite rare (inexpensive) wide angle, these are the jpegs SOOC, I think the speedbooster is messing with the IQ a lot here since the back element is super close to the booster glass and the combo is not ideal, will try in the near future with a fullframe too

Canon 35mm f/2.8 LTM on the Fuji XE5 Amsterdam walk

Took this neat combo for a walk and I have some thoughts about it.

Pros: Super light, great center sharpness, easy to handle lens, effortless vintage look, good looking combo :)

Cons: Mediocre middle to corner sharpness, engraved distances don't match actual distances, focus peaking not very helpful for this lens.

Auto Miranda EC 50mm f/1.4 on Nikon Z8

From what I found this lens has a couple of versions, this one uses the Miranda mount which I adapt using a Miranda RW to Leica M then LM to NZ since I couldn't find a direct adapter to Z mount. The results were good, the lens looks sharp even wide open tho the aspherical aberrations are high and it gets bloomy. The bokeh is not the one I prefer but that's always subjective. The build quality in this Miranda EC lineup is very good, the only bad is the aperture ring clicking which is quite strong and stiff

Yellow glass on a Jupiter 9

Recently got this beauty and was wondering what's the deal with the yellow tint in the glass, according to what I found non of them had radioactive glass but it could be the actual glue on the cemented group, so not all yellow mean bananas

Mamiya Sekor-C 127mm f/3.8 on the Mamiya RB67

I took a couple of test shots on Kodak Gold 200 using my small elephant medium format film camera and I got surprised by the results, it is biting sharp and cool. What I don't like: the Kodak gold colors, what I need to fix/switch the camera back, it has problems with the spacing.

Weird and cute Elmar copy?

So I went to a vintage watch fair today and got no watches but found this cute little knock-off, on the shapes it looks very much like an Industar 50 but with the whole Leica theme. The job looks professional and the colors are nice. Do someone had found somenthing like this before?

Backyard test of the Miranda macron EC 55mm f3,5 [Nikon Z8]

Today my adapter for Miranda lenses on Nikon Z arrived and made a quick test, results: This small lens is a hidden gem, it's a bit rare find and for less then €50 it was a steal. On it's own it's a 1:2 macro but it came with the 1:1 extension, at that magnification it resolves very well too.

Carl Zeiss Sonnar 85mm f/2.8 QBM on Nikon Z8

Quick test on this not so common Sonnar, as the 135mm this one has very good sharpness and colors, it's incredibly small and light too.

Zenitar ME1 on a Fuji x-m5 Paris weekend trip

Wanted a portable setup for this weekend so I went for this camera and lens combo, the adapter was a Zhongyi speed booster so the frame is not really cropped to Fuji's aps-c. I'm sharing SOOC jpegs downscaled. There's some blooming going on that I suspect it's about the rear glass being too close to the booster glass.

Olympus OM 50mm f/2 Macro on the Nikon Z8

Some lenses are relatively expensive because they are collector items or they are rare enough, this one is because it earn it. From my 50's if I had to keep only one, this is it.

Sunny day with a Rony 300mm f/5.6 reflex lens on a Z8

This was a longer test to this tiny 300mm, I liked a lot, the IQ is there as long as the subject is not very close.

Minolta MD 35mm f/1.8 on Nikon Z8

I bough this one with a film camera for a good price but never tested on digital until yesterday. Overall this is a very good lens, the only problem which is quite common in oldies is that it's a bit bloomy wide open, from f2.8 it is sharp and contrasty.

Film experiments with Mamiya 564 1000S and the 80mm f/1.9 lens

Decided to "fix" my Mamiya 645 light seals but it was a failure, looks like the foam I used which is 1.5mm is not thick enough and there are leaks on both sides of the frame, now I'm waiting for a proper kit to replace it. Shot on Kodak Gold 200 120mm.

RE GN Topcor 50mm 1.8 on Nikon Z8

Recently got this one in very good shape except for the common focussing ring stuck issue so I had to repair it. Compared to the 10 years older brother the Topcor 58mm 1.8, this one is sharper and more punchy.

Voigtlander Color-Ultron 55mm f/1.4 AR on the Nikon Z8

Yesterday took this one for a test walk and I liked it. My copy says Made in Japan so probably was made by Mamiya using the Zeiss formula. Under the right distances the lens swirls like crazy. The sharpness is great at regular distances tho at minimum focus it gets not that good. Compared a to Zeiss Planar 50 1.4 I liked it more.
