Confortable Chinrest.

Hiya there folks! I have great news. I changed my Chinrest and never had that level of comfort in my entire life. I was using a Kaufman, but it was hurting me when I used the shoulder rest. Now I have a Dresden one.

I worked so well, I'm feeling so comfortable.

And also, I'm almost getting a Teacher. My Cello teacher has a friend who is speciallzing in online classes. So... I'm making open strings for myself at this first moment.

M-berg for all strings?

Hiya there. I just heard that the wonderful finetuners from Mberg are designed only for ball-end strings, not loop-ones. True?

Rare Guys

Hiya there. Today I heard about two quite rare “specimens”: Two Piccolo Instruments, the Oboe and the… already rare Heckelphon.

As far as I read, the Piccolo Oboe, or “Musette”, is pitched both in F and Eb (transposing :/), and the Piccolo Heckelphon is in F.

I found pictures of the P. Oboe, but not of the P. Heckelphon. Would anyone have a picture of this precious gem?

I absolutely love the Heckelphon to the point of learning the Oboe just to play it.

Pronoun quarrel

Hiya there. I was scrolling at YT and found a beautiful Polka to hear. Finding the refreshing “The Two Nightingales”, by Zieher.
The person tried to write the original title in German, but they ended writing “Das” for a name in Plural (Nachtigallen). Not only that, they spelled “Polka Francase” instead of “Polka-française”.
I polity corrected the person behind the channel, but for some reason they got very mad with me. I got irritated with that reaction and said, in more indirect words, that if they refer to plural noun as “Das”, they should first learn how to read and write (in German), and then, upload Austrian Classical Music.
A friend of mine told me that I was arrogant by correcting the person.
Of course, “Polka-française” is not german, but composers from that time referred like that for those pieces. If people want to have channels about classical music, then they must know the basics of sone language. It’s basically go to Google Translator and write “French-Polka”, and copy paste the translation in French. Don’t need even 5 minutes for that.
What you think, was I the Bad Gal?

Hiya there, folks. Today, I want to deepen my knowledge of the fabulous world of "Violin" Making.
What would you tell me about these 3 schools: Bubenreuth, Mittenwald, and Markneukirchen? How similar are they (all German) and how different? What defines each of them?
