WTF: Insane short on processed foods

WTF: Insane short on processed foods

This short about processed food is completely harmful and ridiculous.

Using frozen veggies as a strawman for why processed food is fine, when obviously no one thinks of frozen veggies when they mean processed foods. Glazing over the harms associated with ultra-processed foods. Not mentioning known carcinogens in processed foods like nitrates, and countless other risks associated with unknown carcinogens in these foods. All contrary to extremely well-established research on the dangers of diets higher in processed foods.

Takes on this channel have been getting increasingly ridiculous and contrary to the audience's best interests.

I'm unsubscribing from them. Many of their other videos have been questionable for the past year, and it really seems that enshitification has taken over this channel. All they do is parrot the opinions of creepy Silicon Valley tech bros. Maybe to do with their funding behind the scenes or just general slop tendencies.

Dangerous scam alert: "VeryEmployed Talent Amplification Network"

I'm a software engineer, and I've worked at Big Tech companies in the past. I was messaged on LinkedIn by a recruiter who appeared to be verified on the platform. Originally said we were recruiting for a high-paying full-stack position, until he sent over a PDF outlining what the position entails...

Basically, it's a bait-and-switch where I would go to all the meetings and pretend to work at the company while a team of Pakistani dudes does all the actual work, and then I split the salary with them. An insane idea that would definitely end up with me in a fraud case.

This is a cautionary post to anyone else out there who gets this offer, and hopefully, if I can get some publicity for this, then other people can find this when they Google this company's name/practices.

TO BE CLEAR TO ANY SWE READING THIS: DO NOT DO THIS! THIS IS FRAUD! YOU CAN FACE JAIL TIME AND MASSIVE FINES FOR ASSISTING THIS COMPANY IN THIS PRACTICE!!

I wish I could link the 5-page PDF as it has tons of business-y words to make it sound like it's not a scam, but here's the AI summary I generated of the PDF to explain what's in it:
"The "Very Employed Talent Amplification Network" (VTAN) operates an industrialized bait-and-switch scheme targeting high-pedigree software engineers. The company pitches a model where experienced tech professionals act as the "face" for remote contract roles—such as AI model training—by using their real credentials to pass interviews, clear identity verifications, and attend occasional client check-ins. However, once a contract is secured, the day-to-day labor is secretly outsourced to VTAN's undisclosed "white-label execution pods." In exchange for providing their identity and absorbing 100% of the legal, tax, and reputational liabilities associated with the deceptive practice, the fronting engineer receives a 30% cut of the income, while VTAN retains the remaining 70% to fund its shadow workforce."
