Med administration requirements.
I'm studying for my EMR licensing exam and my classmates and I can't come to an agreement on what info you're required to get before administering medications. Help?
ASA we agree you can give without vitals, (just ruling out contraindications)
But all other meds. What is required? Vitals? Sample? OPQRST (if applicable)?
Are any meds different? Like EPI, for example, where it's obviously something we're going to want to give asap.
We can't find the hard and fast rules for this anywhere.
