These little things are killer!

Accidentally stumbled on these things through an Instagram ad and bought one! It was a fake... but I've got 3 real (with WiFi) R36XX devices and I can't be stopped!

I do astrophotography, and hanging out under the stars, playing the games from my childhood is such a therapeutic thing.

Do you pair playing these little devices with any other hobbies? Astrophotography takes a lot of patience and has a lot of downtime, so it's really the perfect pairing when you're out there taking the cosmos in!

East Veil and Eagle Nebulae

Have had nothing but clear skies this week and was finally able to get a few different targets I've been wanting to image since getting my S50 in April of 2025!

My spouse and I recently moved out from the city center to a nearby county with consistent bortle 4 skies, and we couldn't be happier with our decision!

Space and the cosmos have been a fascination of mine since my childhood, and the S50 has been a huge positive influence in my adulthood. Never in my life did I think I'd be able to capture the cosmos from my back yard.

Bortle 4 30sec subs in EQ Mode over varying times. East Veil had over 5 hours, and Eagle a little over 2 hours. Stacked in the app, then just quickly colour corrected with SnapSeed. Will eventually get around to learning Siril etc. when I've got a little more time to really dig in.

Special thanks to everyone in the community here too. You're all so helpful when there's a question, or tip request, and you've all really made this journey that much more enjoyable when hitting small snags that pop up every now and then.

Clear skies everyone

Something's up after I updated to the latest firmware tonight?

I'm no expert with this thing, but I'm also by no means a novice. I know my capabilities and I play well within them.

I'm using an EQ mount and have been for the past 6ish months with zero issue. Captured M13 this past weekend flawlessly and can't even get a single image of M92 in the exact same position tonight in the same bortle 4 rural Canada after the latest update.

Tried recalibrating everything, changing exposure length, etc. and the exact same results... Discarded images.

Please tell me I'm not the only one 🥲
