Hi, Im planning to go to NYU for mathematics in engineering at tandon. I wanted to do the emphasis on computer engineering, along with a minor in data science, and I’m curious about what the job scene/internships would look like by doing this. I’m planning to do NYU’s accelerated BS/MS financial engineering at tandon, but I’m just wondering if Tandon’s math is good, considering all the math courses are sourced from courant.
I was just accepted off the waitlist as a first year for nyu tandon as a mathematics in engineering major. I’m curious to if this major is good for becoming a quant, or if there’s other majors that would be better?

Hi, im a senior in high school right now committing to ucsc, and im struggling with choosing my residential college.
I’m an Electrical engineering major, and right now I’m leaning towards JRL since the dorms are pretty new and they’re close to the engineering buildings.
But I also want a social life, so I’m thinking about cowell or Stevenson. I heard the dorms there are pretty old and filled with mold though.
Which one should I choose for a balance of active social life and cleanliness?
