Bought a Centauri Carbon, it fails constantly.
I been using 3d printers since 2018. . maybe even longer. I own 4 other elegoo machines. They all go this way. Print first print great. 2nd print great. Then all of a sudden I get fails constantly. Nothing changes. I dont tweak or change anything. They eventually become dust collectors cause I get fed up dealing with them. My neptune 4 max has been probably the best printer. It'll fail, reprint and work or fail and I'll adjust the bed 10 times to get it to eventually work. But it works.
This centauri carbon though is something else. I thought it was a fail safe printer. So I picked it up in hopes to print smaller, have clean looking prints and actually get prints done, I got tired of dealing with my resin printers cause they went to garbage after about 30-50 prints. Changing the screen, leveling repeat fail fail fail. . .
Carbon is doing the exact same thing to me. Starts out great, get about 30 min in, then fails. I had one 70% done and it failed. I got the machine on saturday I think it was. Since then I got 3 successful prints and about 19 fails.
I watched some youtube videos for advice and profile changes and still get fails.
So if you guys have any advice before I send this pile of junk back please let me know. Also, if you can recommend another company to buy from. I own a creality ender 3, 5, cs10s5 and they all have their issues as well. So I switched to elegoo and picked up a saturn 3, saturn 3 ultra, saturn 4 ultra, neptune 4 max (best printer out of all these) and now the carbon. Which I absolutely hate. Im done with these companies.
Mind you, all these printers worked over the years and to this day I can print on them. . . but its eventually..... Im tired of eventually getting something made and spending x amount of hours constantly leveling, releveling, changing out screens, resin spills ect ect ect. I just want to hit print, get it done and be happy about the outcome and move on to the next print. Instead I'm spending countless hours trying to figure out what is happening. Today I woke at 5am to start printing. It's now 1:30 pm and I still dont have one print. This is my elegoo experience. I got into this cause I'm an artist, was hoping to use this as a side hustle and all I've done is lost a ton of time and money into 3d printing. I even asked elegoo to test out their machines to give proper feedback as an artist that makes their own models but its a no go. We all have to deal with jessy and think our prints and our 3d models will turn out as good as his on these machines and it does not happen. Just a huge pain in the a......
