I'm really torn up over here. I decided to get some sushi, mostly consisting of my SO's favorites and leave a nice little treat for her when she gets home from work.

However, I'm starting to think this is a prime example toxic masculinity. I feel like I'm perpetuating the trope of poor defenseless women can't fend for themselves. Am I just a pathetic White Knight incel? I'm really crossed up.

Some (gifted) basil pesto mussels from Fishwife lent a great base for this dish. Used some peas, Romano cheese, crispy onions, and a shit-ton of pepper.

The sauce was some good ole pasta water and separated oil from the tin that I emulsified with a frother.
