New commercial grade epoxy floor has pieces coming up after a few weeks
Hi Everyone, I had a contractor put down a commercial grade epoxy floor. I had him use Crown polymers epoxy and polyaspartic. After just a few weeks there’s a piece that broke and came and another part behind it that is bubbling up. He said it might have been from turning a car tire on it.
When starting the project I asked about diamond grinding and he said acid etching should be sufficient. The concrete is pretty old, probably original from the 50s.
Is the whole floor going to be bubbling up like this? I’ve got a one year warranty on the work and he’s going to repair the broken portions but now I’m concerned I may have flushed my money down the drain by not doing diamond grinding.
