Obsessed

From finding a single jumping spider outside while cleaning up a broken glass table, to owning over half a dozen spiders in under 6 months haha. This Mother's day my grandmother threw a rock in the general direction of our rowdy great Pyrenees while she was barking up a storm, to get her attention. she got up from her seat to avoid hitting her various hanging witch orb decorations and ends up nailing one dead on, it bounced off and completely shattered a large patio table. The look on her face was priceless! 😂 Anyhow I went out and began sorting the glass from the rocks and stumbled on Fiona, a female redback jumping spider. Within 3-4 weeks of having her I had order all kinds of acrylic enclosures and decor, and kept her well fed with crickets. Turns out she was gravid and had an egg clutch, I still have 7 of her spiderlings today. In the last 1-2 months I not only bought my first regal jumper I also took the leap into tarantulas upto 4 now and I know #5 wont be too far behind i'm sure.
Im curious if anyone else has any very random stories of how they ended up in the hobby? how long does anyone stay with just 1 or 2? other than a kid without the means to buy more ofc.
