Hey guys! Posting here because the Vitpilen thread seems kinda dead.

I’m planning to buy a Vitpilen soon, but I’m not sure which model to go for. I’ve heard the 2020–2023 models had some quality control/reliability issues, so I’d love to hear some real owner experiences.

Right now I’m leaning toward the 2018–2019 models because I honestly prefer the looks and sound. On the other hand, the 2020–2023 models have features like the quickshifter and adjustable suspension, which could be nice since I’m a bigger guy (183 cm / 6’0” and around 100 kg / 220 lbs).

A few questions:

• How’s the reliability/quality control on the 2020–2023 models? Any common issues?
• Suspension and ergonomics: are there big differences between the generations? Especially for taller/heavier riders?
• The sound! From videos, I think the 2018–2019 models sound way better. Seems like you can just add a slip-on and it sounds great. The 2020–2023 bikes sound quieter with only a slip-on, but super loud if you do the resonator delete + slip-on setup.

Would really appreciate any experiences, opinions, or advice. I’m trying to gather as much info as possible before buying.
