BGE bill doubled *twice*, anyone else?

Love how this is such a problem that it has its own flair. Moved into the house in 2021. Budget billing was $200 per month. Jumped to $390 like 12-18 mos ago, which I expected due to the myriad experiences of others. But then, this month, $800 effing dollars! Is this happening to everyone or should I actually invest time in calling them?

ETA: I’m a giant dumbass, sorry everyone. Amidst their evilness they were incompetent and did not pull the payment for last month. Sorry for being an alarmist Reddit-clogger.

Mmkay so I too am a lawyer but… question

Mr. X is a former employee of Company Y. During Mr. X’s employment, there was a work accident (within scope, no gross negligence, etc.) and Mr. Z was seriously injured. Mr. X is now named as a co-defendant along with Company Y in a tort case, despite the fact that there was already a WC payout. (No double dipping in my state, so I’m really not getting why there hasn’t been a summary judgment, but the whole affair is outside my practice area.)

Every lawyer I have spoken with has told me that Company Y’s insurance carrier should provide representation for Mr. X, but the carrier is dragging their feet and the clock is ticking on an answer. What strategies would one employ to get the carrier to sign on to represent Mr. X? Desperately trying to avoid hiring private counsel and then having to sue the carrier to recover the fees paid.
