Day 3 of my Nelumbo nucifera experience 🪷

Ive been taking 1oz of my concentrated tea in the morning and night to see what the experience is like.
The first day of taking it i noticed a subtle lift on my mood and it was hard to keep any angry or upset emotions.
Second day was probably better in terms of just feeling genuinely calm, the cloudiness in my head was gone, my dreams have become almost like memories with how vivid they are. I’ve noticed visual distortion type effects after taking my dose and there is a slight perception thing going on but its nothing close to lsd or psilocybin.
Day 3 and im about to take a higher dose of 3oz, noted that eating before makes the effects last longer but do not come on as strong(which makes sense).

So far this whole experience has been quite uplifting for me and has honestly helped me deal with some really crazy things going on in life so cheers to that.

Sleep report on Sacred Lotus

After my last dose, the effects were almost that of my first lsd gel tab from years ago, trippy with clamy hands, distance got distorted and everything felt natural.
The taste is still the same floral, nice and fresh.
Side note, i believe using any other substance such as Alcohol, opiates, or weed will have a more intense effect other than just the tea. Be safe out there

9pm update on Nelumbo nucifera decoction/tea

Its been about 4-5ish hours since my initial dose of 1oz of homemade concentrated Nelumbo nucifera tea.
I have since taken around 3fl oz total and the weight in my chest is gone.
My stress is hard to find at the moment, i have no intrusive thoughts or energy, and im just calm for once.
I will be taking higher doses in the coming days but stay tuned till then.

Also i want to note that the taste has gotten better after chilling in the fridge for several hours. And has seemed to help with my appetite issue.

My part 2 of my Nelumbo nucifera/Sacred Lotus extraction/tea.

placed my jar in the fridge at 1:20pm today and now i am going to drink 1oz and report in 2 hours.
Some side notes, smells of fresh lotus bloom and semi earthy
Taste without honey- quite pleasant, taste just like the smell. Aftertaste is starchy, almost bitter but not.
Taste with honey-not as pleasant, not bitter but didn't improve the taste or impare it anyway.

Experimenting with Fresh Pink Sacred Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) Concentrate

Im starting my herbal journey again and this is my first time with this flower.
I'm not a newbie when it comes to lotus flowers but. extracting or making tea/tincture/concentrate/whatever is new to me so this is my process after I found my flowers.
I took them home and washed them chopped them up, heated water to 160°f put it in a tea pot steep for 20 minutes pressed hard on a fine strainer and I am keeping it below 175°f for 20 minutes.
I used 1.3oz of fresh material, 2 cups filtered water.
After about 20 total minutes, I will transfer what's left to a mason jar and let it reach room temperature.
I am letting it sit with a breathable paper towel for 2 hours to cool.
Will post more after taking 1fl oz before bed.

Please do not take this as advice just my experiment with this plant.

Crucial Harm Reduction Note: Remember that wild plants don't come with nutrition labels. The alkaloid percentages in wild-foraged botanicals can fluctuate drastically based on the season, soil, and environment. Because wild potency is so unpredictable, always be incredibly careful, start small, and respect the plant
