These have been pinning for around 3/4weeks and do not seem to grow any more. Any ideas ?
Innoculated on the 8th BnS on the 13th there's still a few patches that seem to have slower/no growth any ideas?
First time trying to grow Blue Meanies.
Inoculated 7/4.
B/S 7/14.
Is this contaminated, or ready for CVG?
Newbie here, but loving the community!
Mush Love!
Never throw out any contaminated anything before trying outdoors. ive had every bump crop come back 10× stronger and bigger then inside, and this is in florida so if I can do it here anyone can anywhere. I thought I lost months of work to getting huge fruits.
This is my 3rd attempt since my only successful harvest over 18 months ago- idk wtf the deal is, I made sure to take every single precaution imaginable to prevent contamination. I’m beyond frustrated, someone help a guy out please
Veils are starting to break on a few of my Melmac strain shrooms. I’ve read conflicting information… harvest when veils break or when the stipe is soft like a marshmallow?
This would be the 3rd out of 6 runs I've lost since this summer. The basement runs about 78 degrees with 70% humidity in the summer, thinking it's just too hot at the moment. This one innoculated like a beast and was a complete brick when I mixed. May need to consider relocating, taking a break, or just set the whole thing ablaze and starting over. M#th$r F#$ker....
Colonised a brown rice grain jar with spores from a P.sub I found.
Colonised well, I then transferred it into a tub full of soaked hardwood chips that are over a year old.
Was planning on leaving this inside and closed until it is fully colonised, but shortly I was planning on combining this outdoors with other soaked mulch, in a shady spot and let nature do the rest, keeping it moist during dry patches.
If anyone has any other ideas or advice, I’m all ears
Just curious as to what cultivars colonize the fastest. I had some jmf that did great in LC, but slow to colonize grain. Also a batch of hillbilly that I had one time colonized a grain bag totally in like 7 days.
Got me to the 100 gram club in just my forth month.
Idk how but a plant started to grow in my tub, there was also ~a dozen small flying bugs in this bin. Will these still be good to eat? And how can I prevent the bug issue in future grows?
Seeing a few spots of discoloration, but there is no smell.
Why are my guys turning blue , and maybe aborting? I can't tell what's happening.
Hey All,
Newbie here trying to learn. Been struggling to get results with my homemade agar cups. Tried multiple strains over the last several months (GT, MDK, B+, Huatla) and no luck getting anything isolated to transfer to an LC. My attempts to get anything started at all from spore syringes have all flopped except maybe one. Swabs from spore prints seem to start much more readily for me. Testing LC from commercial syringes has been fine. I guess my biggest issues are starting from SS, and agar to agar transfers. I’ve done multiple transfers trying to isolate genetics and the mycelium just doesn’t spread from the transferred piece, evan after a month. The pics shown are my most recent attempt with transfers. My agar recipe comes from Philly Golden Teacher’s videos:
12g potato flakes, 8g agar, and 4g corn syrup to 400ml water.
I’ve had no issues with contam (using a SAB).
Do I just need to try a different recipe? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
