Had ≈20 feet of dayman come down in the storm last week. After the initial offering these are the cuts we have left. Everything is thick pure bridgesii growth from a seed grown (Succseed) 14+ year old stand that’s been growing in ground in AZ sun.
This is a favorite of mine due to its ridiculous growth and pup rate as well as a tendency to add and subtract ribs and go funky occasionally. Once you get mature growth it thickens up to around 3” thick and begins to go bald (cutting C is almost entirely 2’ of bald bridgesii). These are all stable traits I’ve noticed on multiple stands I have growing and something you should be able to expect yourself once planted.

Doing a sale for one of our signature cultivars the “Dayman” clone. I am extremely proud of this clone, it was bought as one of my first large cactus in 2019 as a 7-8 year old Bridgesii seed grown pre-mother plant. Making this mature specimen near 15 years old currently with pure bridgesii lineage tracked far back to the seed company SuccSeed Sweden.
Pheno hunted traits I noticed-
Everyone loves a big thick bald bridgesii. This was not a known trait and developed later with age.
Adds and subtracts ribs with relative frequency aka goes funky
Beautiful blue glaucous skin with classic fiery thorns
Extremely pup prone and grows large biomass quickly.

It's important to note that when using spores from wild, outdoor mushroom prints for research they will show more contaminants under the microscope, however you will have much higher genetic diversity compared to spores from domesticated cultivars.
