Hey yall!

So this is my first time working with agar so I’m still trying to learn all the techniques, so I’m hoping to utilize the shared knowledge of the community.

This morning I was checking on my plates, and when I was putting them away, I clumsily knocked my hand against the shelf and dropped this plate, splashing the condensation on the lid across the mycelium.

I did all my trays inside a SAB (working on building a flow hood) and the other trays are clean. My question is if this tray is boned from a dumb accident? I didn’t want to write it off as a loss unless more knowledgeable people offered that guidance. Thank you for any help or advice!

It’s been almost two weeks, and so far I only have a small pinhead forming.

I placed micropore tape over the slit to allow for cleaner fresh air exchange. Was that the correct thing to do, or should I have left it alone?

My temperature has been fluctuating between 73°F and 79°F with the air conditioning running.

What could be causing it to take this long to fruit? Should I be concerned about the excess moisture or water inside the bag?

Has anyone else experienced this with a ShroomTek bag? In your experience, how long did it take before you started seeing fruits?

First transfer is going nuts. The grain jar pictured i also put to plate and grain to agar, and then sent it for the hell of it. The tub is colonizing rapidly, despite being the grossest looking grain I've ever seen. The grain to agar plate is growing slowly with bubbly mutations. I'll take photos once I can get clean shots. These were dated 3/7/24 and 2/18/24 respectively.

Goes to show these things can survive. The agar chunk I put in the cup was dried out too. The cup was pure green, but as you can see the growth is eating it rapidly. I put these to plate 2 weeks ago, and left them to do their business. Took a while to revive, but now they're going ham.

His equipment and teks had been left in a basement room, sealed up since he passed. I went in to help clean it out, and found all this stuff. Coco coir, casing material, etc., all around 2 years or more old. It's been really satisfying bring some of his work back from the dead. I miss him a lot, and this has been very cathartic finishing his projects.

wondering if the first two still look ok, they’re kinda aged a few weeks and have really thicc mats of what i thought was mycelium but I’m not so sure now with some slight bruising And possibly myc piss. do these look normal? sorry for shitty pics was trying to get just where the thick mats are. Bonus pics at the end, most recent transfer from one of the first two about a week ago.

What are your thoughts? Do I finish these plates off and send or transfer again?

Some chunky transfers - some weren’t so clean on the scalpal and look messy - some were done by a punch. I am sure you get the idea.

What do you think, does it look like yeast contamination? 2nd pic is at 65x

Anyone know this type on contamination? And why did the mycilium grow so crazy looking from a transfer? As if it had multiple exposure points
