First time doing photography

Hi guys!

This was genuinely my first time going out specifically to take photographs. I’m learning on a Fujifilm X-T50 with the XF 16–80mm f/4.

I stayed around my neighborhood and mostly experimented with composition, focal length, aperture, exposure compensation and different film simulations. I kept ISO and shutter speed mostly automatic while I got comfortable with the camera.

These are 6 of the images I liked most from the outing. I’d really appreciate constructive feedback, especially on composition, subject placement, exposure, and anything you think I should consciously work on during my next photo walk.

Don’t worry about being overly nice. I’m trying to learn.

Thank you.

First time sampling TF oud wood ..

Been wanting to buy this for quite sometime but decided to buy a 2ml decant first. Here is my impression/experience:

Very nice opening, as the Cardamom hits your nose, with a blend of spiciness and sweetness (I almost thought that it was saffron), the woodiness starts to slowly climb and display itself although not potent.
As somebody who has Oud at home, most of the time, I don’t smell any Oud from this, which makes the name very misleading (but again, I think people have probably noticed this long ago). It settles quite nicely however.
Was awaiting the dry down but … it barely showed up , in the form of some faint musky Amber added to that woodiness .. and then thats it. 1h30 mins in, i can barely smell it on my hand anymore ..
For the asking price …. This has been an extremely underwhelming experience. Very nice smell (nothing wow), but barely lasts. What a disappointment.
Glad I didn’t buy it.
