I was walking my dog near Woodward and Hart this morning when there was a bunch of commotion. This woman was beating the dogs with the stick pictured. A couple of different neighbors tried to intervene, but the woman claimed to be training them and walked away. I’m not sure if they are her dogs or if she’s a dog walker, but it was concerning to see this in broad daylight and I think we were all worried about what would happen when we walked away.

I don’t really believe in photographing strangers but it caused enough of a scene that I wanted to do something to help if I could in case these dogs are in danger. I tried calling the phone number listed on her vest but they claimed to not know her or the dogs.

Helped Ridgewood Rescues trap this cat this evening near Woodward and Stockholm! Posting in case someone recognizes him - he is not fixed, nervous but not completely feral.
