Restaurants in Lisbon
My husband and I are visiting Portugal for our honeymoon. The last leg of our trip has been/is Lisbon. It’s truly an incredible city that we’ve enjoyed getting to know!
One thing I’ve been struggling with is how we’ve been treated in a few different restaurants. I understand and respect that the serving culture is different than the U.S. (I waitress on the side, btw), but I’ve felt judged and been treated as if we’re a nuisance on multiple occasions. My husband and I are quite friendly and are always respectful to hosts/staff members wherever we go. Even then, it seems we are a bother to staff. Are we doing something wrong? I will say, I am known to be high-anxiety and overly sensitive… maybe I’m reading into this too much? It’s been a little discouraging to find new places to try.
We are staying near Pink Street and would love any recommendations for any kind of incredible food nearby! Welcoming and friendly vibes would be appreciated ;-)
